What's left behind the scenes

  • The film was shot without a complete script, and debates constantly raged on set about how each fragment should look. Therefore, much of the film consists of actors' improvisations.
  • The working title of the film was "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
  • The film was originally scheduled for release in 2003, but this date was postponed due to the release of another film starring Ben Affleck – John Woo's sci-fi action film 'Paycheck'. That's why a 2003 calendar hangs in Brian's bedroom.
