What's left behind the scenes

  • The names of the main characters were chosen from real words in the Chinese language. Shifu means “teacher,” Tai Lung – “great dragon,” and Oogway – “tortoise.”
  • Mikhail Galustyan, who voiced Po in the Russian version, was hospitalized with appendicitis while working on the dubbing.
  • In the Chinese localization of the film, Master Crane was voiced by Jaden Chan (Jackie Chan's son).
  • When Po enters the Jade Hall, he sees the armor of the Flying Rhino Warrior, which is stylistically reminiscent of Iron Man’s armor (the same colors, the same hole in the chest).
  • The scene in which Master Shifu “trains” Po in kung fu using dumplings and chopsticks was inspired by a similar scene from the film “Fearless Hyena.”
  • During Tai Lung's escape from prison, 5 arrows are fired at him, and 4 stick near him (he immediately "sends" the 5th back), but after a few seconds, 5 arrows are stuck near him again.
  • When Po claims he has no special qualities or strengths, unlike each of the Furious Five, he specifically mentions that he doesn't have claws like Tigress. In reality, giant pandas have quite impressive, sharp claws that help them climb trees and defend themselves from enemies.
  • Master Shifu's coloration, unlike all other characters, does not correspond to the natural pattern of a red panda – like a giant panda, Shifu has the area around his eyes fully darkened and the rest of his head lightened.
  • The scene in which Master Shifu "trains" Po in kung fu techniques using dumplings and chopsticks is inspired by a similar scene from the film "Fearless Hyena."
