Blackout

Set during the New York City blackout of 1977, this action thriller follows four violent criminals who escape from custody during a prisoner transfer. The group seizes control of an upscale Manhattan apartment building, where they loot the premises and terrorize the residents. As the city remains in darkness, a police officer attempts to stop the gang and regain control of the complex.

Directed by Eddy Matalon and written by John C.W. Saxton, the film is a joint production between Canada and France involving DAL Productions, Maki Films, and Somerville House. The cast features James Mitchum, Robert Carradine, and Belinda Montgomery, alongside June Allyson, Jean-Pierre Aumont, and Ray Milland.
