The Front Room

The Front Room follows Belinda, who is newly pregnant when her husband's estranged stepmother, Solange, moves into their home. Solange arrives in poor health and in need of care, but her presence quickly turns oppressive. She imposes her own rules on the household and sets her sights on the unborn child, forcing Belinda to decide how far she will go to protect her family. The film is a horror story about a hostile guest whose intentions become increasingly difficult to ignore.

The film marks the feature directing debut of twin brothers Max and Sam Eggers, who also wrote the screenplay. It was produced by David Hinojosa, Lucan Toh and Julia Oh for A24, 2AM and Two & Two Pictures, with a budget of 4 million USD.
