To recreate prison life more convincingly, Paul W.S. Anderson and Jason Statham visited Corcoran – a maximum-security prison near Los Angeles.
The Jensen Interceptor is the car after which Jensen Ames – the film's protagonist – was named.
To prepare for the role, Jason Statham reduced his body fat from 20% to 6% over three months.
The production used 35 cars, which were constantly maintained by a team of 85 mechanics. On average, it took approximately 6 weeks to modify and assemble each vehicle.
4 tons of blank cartridges were used.
The equipment for each vehicle cost approximately $250,000 - $300,000.
At least 30 different masks were tried and rejected for Frankenstein.
