In the Room Where He Waits

A queer theater actor returns to his hometown in Australia following a breakup and the sudden death of his father. While staying in a hotel room before the funeral, he experiences sinister events and begins to lose his psychological stability. Trapped in the room and unable to leave, he must confront a mysterious presence and the ghosts of his own past in a struggle for survival.

Directed by Tim Marshall, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Dimple Rajyaguru, this Australian horror film features Daniel Monks in the lead role of Tobin Wade. The supporting cast includes Susie Porter, Annabel Marshall-Roth, Anthony Brandon Wong, Nicholas Papademetriou, and Sunny S. Walia. The project was produced by Bec Dakin through a collaboration between Screen Queensland, Queerscreen, B&T Films, and Orange Entertainment.
