Nervous is a horror film about a woman named Sarah who moves to the Korean countryside after her husband, Sungsoo, surprises her by purchasing a home. Sarah struggles to adapt to the unfamiliar cultural environment and faces growing tension in her marriage. Her experience turns into a nightmare as she feels unsettled by an unfriendly house, a frightening elderly woman, and a neighbor named Eunbyeol who seems overly close to her husband. The situation escalates when Sarah finds a silent vinyl record and begins losing her ability to hear male voices, a condition that doctors cannot explain.
The film was directed by Abner Pastoll, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Richard Hobley. This production follows Pastoll's previous directorial efforts, Road Games and A Good Woman Is Hard to Find. The movie was produced by February Films and Story Robot, with Abner Pastoll and Junyoung Jang serving as producers. The cast features Sarah Bolger in the lead role, alongside Go A-sung, Sungsoo Yune, Cho Saeyeon, Lee Seung-jin, and Jeon Han-na. A joint production between the United Kingdom, the United States, and Korea, the film has a runtime of 100 minutes.
