The Man who was Made a Fool by L the Most - Detective Matsuda's Case File

The story focuses on the conclusion of the Kira investigation. While certain final documents require Matsuda's signature to officially close the case, he is unwilling to sign them. To resolve the situation and find closure, Soichiro Yagami suggests that Matsuda meet with Ryuzaki to better comprehend L's perspective on justice.

Directed by Hideo Nakata, this Japanese production was released in 2007. It is the sixth of 18 films directed by Nakata, following The Ring Two and preceding Death Note: L Change the WorLd. The 16-minute short features Sota Aoyama in the role of Touta Matsuda, alongside Kenichi Matsuyama as L / Ryuzaki. Other cast members include Miyuki Komatsu as Sanami, Takeo Nakahara as Director Matsubara, and Tadashi Tanaka as a crepe seller. The film was produced by several companies, including Shochiku, Nikkatsu Corporation, Shueisha, and the Nippon Television Network Corporation.
