When Adam Changes

Set in Quebec during the late 1990s, this animated film follows Adam, a fifteen-year-old boy whose body physically transforms in response to the insults and negative remarks he receives from others. As he navigates the typical challenges of adolescence, including unrequited love, summer jobs, and social gatherings, these literal physical distortions add a layer of difficulty to his personal struggles.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Joël Vaudreuil, who also wrote the screenplay. The voice cast is led by Simon Lacroix as Adam, alongside Isabelle Brouillette, Antoine Vézina, Julianne Côté, Sophie Desmarais, and Sonia Cordeau. Produced in Canada by Parce Que Films, the movie blends elements of comedy and drama across its 93-minute runtime.
