H. P. Lovecraft's The Old Ones

H. P. Lovecraft's The Old Ones is a horror film centered on Russel Marsh, a sea captain who was possessed by an ancient entity for 93 years starting in 1930. During this period, he carried out terrible deeds on behalf of the Esoteric Order of Dagon. After regaining control of his body, Marsh attempts to travel back in time to undo the damage he caused. He is pursued by the cult, which seeks to kill him to prevent these actions.

The film was directed by Chad Ferrin, marking his fourth project following Parasites, The Deep Ones, and Scalper. It precedes several other works by the director, including Unspeakable: Beyond The Wall of Sleep and Ed Kemper. The screenplay is credited to Ferrin and H.P. Lovecraft.
