What's left behind the scenes
- According to director and screenwriter Ryan Coogler, he was inspired by the films *From Dusk Till Dawn* and *The Faculty* while working on the film. In addition, he was significantly influenced by Stephen King's 1975 novel *The Stand* and one episode of *The Twilight Zone*.
- When Delroy Lindo read the script, he initially didn't perceive the future project as a horror film; in his opinion, it was a story about what happens to a community when an unholy force appears. Furthermore, Lindo described the script as 'raw,' and Coogler agreed with him.
- Considering that his character was to play the guitar (something the actor had long dreamed of), Jack O'Connell agreed to participate in the project after the first reading of the script.
- According to director and screenwriter Ryan Coogler, he decided to make this film because of his own uncle, who lived in Mississippi in the 1930s. He instilled in his nephew a love for the blues.
- Hailey Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku said that the fake blood they had to work with on set turned out to be very sticky, and no one had warned them about this beforehand. The makeup artists repeatedly had to rush over to the actresses with water to wash off their fingers covered in "blood," which kept sticking to everything.
- Some of the costumes were originally created for the film *Blade*, in an early version of which the action was supposed to take place in the 1920s. However, the film's production was halted, and the unnecessary costumes were sold to Ryan Coogler's film crew.
- Yao (Bo Chow) was asked what Asian characters should be included in the dance scene, and he suggested the Monkey King.
- Remmik says that Christians took the land from his father. This means Remmik lived before the population of Ireland converted to Christianity, i.e., between the 5th and 7th centuries, and therefore he is over 1300 years old.

This followed a series of similar robberies. A note in the Chicago Daily Times from October 5, 1932, says that tensions are rising in Chicago between the Irish and Italian mafias, with clashes between representatives of the criminal groups. The conflict began after the disappearance of shipments of illegal alcohol – first from the Irish, and then from the Italians.
