Stans

Stans is a music documentary that examines the phenomenon of extreme superfandom through the relationship between the artist Eminem and his most devoted followers. Using the concept from the 2000 song Stan, the film explores how fans have integrated the artist's lyrics and persona into their own lives. The narrative balances an exclusive interview with Eminem and archival footage with stories from real fans who feel a deep personal connection to his work. This approach highlights the contrast between the artist's private nature and his massive public image.

Directed and written by Steven Leckart, the film was produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, Interscope Films, Hill District Media, and Shady Films. Eminem appears as himself and serves as the host, joined by a cast that includes Dr. Dre, LL Cool J, Ed Sheeran, Adam Sandler, and Carson Daly. The movie has a runtime of 102 minutes and was released in the United States on August 6, 2025. On TMDB, the film holds a rating of 7.1/10 based on 64 votes.
