Stay Homas. The Band That Shouldn’t Exist is a music documentary about three friends, Rai, Guillem, and Klaus, who began writing songs on Instagram while confined to a Barcelona terrace during the pandemic. After becoming a viral sensation, the group faces the challenge of establishing their long-term identity as a band while trying to move past the specific circumstances of their accidental rise to fame.
The film was directed by Oriol Gispert, marking the first of three listed works in his career. He also co-wrote the screenplay with David Casademunt and Nick Bolger. The documentary features the band members appearing as themselves, along with label manager Ramon Montardit, road manager Souley Bah, and actor Paco León. Produced in Spain by companies including La Lupa Produccions and 3Cat, the movie has a runtime of 81 minutes.
