What's left behind the scenes
- The film's script was altered somewhat with the addition of Donnie Yen to the cast. Yen was the fight choreographer, so he demanded additional funding to film the fight scenes as they were written in the script. The result was the now-famous fight scenes featuring Jackie Wu and Sammo Hung.
- Initially, Wilson Ip planned to also film the story of the relationship between Sammo Hung and Jackie Wu, but this idea had to be abandoned due to financial considerations.
