What's left behind the scenes
- In the scene where Dean Cook's character grabs Kate Hudson's character by the "rear", prosthetic buttocks were used.
- The director gave the actors, and particularly Dean Cook, complete freedom to improvise and often allowed them to deviate significantly from the script. It happened that the same scene was filmed over 20 takes, and each time the actors came up with something new, and gradually everyone came to an understanding of what exactly was required in the scene and how best to film it (for example, in close-up or from a distance).
