John Seeger is a highly skilled mercenary who leads a team on dangerous jobs around the world. During an operation on Galmoral Island in southern Africa, an attempt to rescue a French ambassador amid a coup goes wrong. Members of his own crew open fire on the ambassador and his family, the mission collapses and Seeger's close friend Radio Jones is killed. Back in the United States, Seeger visits Radio's wife Shondra and promises to look after her and her son Eddie. Not long afterwards, the two are taken. Seeger is pressured into breaking into a heavily guarded prison in southern Africa to free the son of a powerful criminal figure, a mission he only accepts to get the family back.
The film was directed by Don E. FauntLeRoy, its second feature after Today You Die in 2005 and ahead of Urban Justice in 2007, with George Furla and Randall Emmett producing. Steven Seagal plays Seeger, and the cast includes Jacqueline Lord, Roger Guenveur Smith, Luke Goss, Michael Kenneth Williams and Adrian Galley. It was made for about 15 million dollars, and the production involved Aruba, the United States and South Africa.
Audience response has been weak. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 4 out of 10 from roughly 4,700 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 4.4 out of 10 from about 112 votes, indicating limited and largely unfavourable interest.
