What's left behind the scenes

  • Initially, it was intended to be part of the script for one of the films in the 'The Incredibles' franchise. The scene was filmed and made into a short film specifically for DVD release.
  • In 'The Incredibles,' Carrie says she's losing to Jack-Jack to Mozart because 'children get smarter from Mozart.'
  • When Jack-Jack first appears on screen (he's playing), the Pixar lamp from the short film 'Luxo Jr.' (1986) is shown on the right side of the screen.
  • The name Jack-Jack is a reference to the English idiom 'Jack of all trades but master of none,' which translates to 'a master of none.'
  • The device Rick uses to erase Carrie’s memory is shown again at the very beginning of 'Incredibles 2.'
  • The interrogation scene later appears in the animated film "The Incredibles 2", in an episode where Rick erases Tony's memory.
