The Pearl Comb

Set in 1893, this horror film follows a doctor sent to Cornwall to investigate a fisherman's wife who claims to have cured tuberculosis. Driven by the belief that women do not belong in the medical profession, the physician seeks to debunk the miracle, but he instead discovers that the woman possesses supernatural powers.

The film was written and directed by Ali Cook, who also stars as Gregory Lutey. The cast includes Beatie Edney, Simon Armstrong, Clara Paget, Roxanne Cook, and Thomas Stocker. Produced in the United Kingdom by Stigma Films, the project was handled by producers Matthew James Wilkinson and Ross Williams. The production resulted in a short film with a runtime of 21 minutes.
