This music documentary follows the rise of the British band Culture Club during the 1980s. The film explores how Boy George, Jon Moss, Roy Hay, and Mikey Craig formed a multiracial group whose sound and appearance challenged the social norms of the New Romantic era under Margaret Thatcher. While the band achieved international chart success in the United States and Europe, the narrative also examines the internal conflicts caused by drug use and the volatile relationship between Boy George and Jon Moss.
Directed by Alison Ellwood, the film was a joint production between the United Kingdom and the United States involving Polygram Entertainment, Propagate Content, Fine Point Films, and Primary Wave Music. The documentary features the four original band members appearing as themselves. Released on June 9, 2026, the production has a runtime of 96 minutes.
