The Invisible Half

The Invisible Half is a Japanese horror film about Elena, a high school student of mixed Japanese descent who struggles with her sense of identity. While feeling the pressure of constant observation, she discovers she is being stalked by a monster. This creature remains hidden from plain sight, appearing only through the screen of a smartphone and audible only through earphones. As she navigates her social environment, she encounters a classmate who believes the school is haunted, and other students begin to exhibit strange behavior.

The film was written and directed by Masaki Nishiyama and produced by Atsushi Sakamoto through Test 8 Pictures. The lead role of Elena Takahashi was played by Lisa Siera, appearing alongside Miyu Okuno as Akari Yamamoto and Runa Hirasawa as Nyan Ito. With a runtime of 106 minutes, the movie premiered on July 30, 2026.
