The Rose: Come Back to Me

The Rose: Come Back to Me is a documentary that follows the trajectory of the South Korean indie band The Rose. The film explores their growth from a small independent act into a globally recognized musical group, highlighting the personal connections between the band members. It examines their experience within the K-pop training system and the challenges they faced during a prolonged hiatus caused by a dispute with their record label, eventually detailing their return to performing on their own terms.

Produced by Wavelength in the United States, the film was directed by Eugene Yi. This project is the first of two films directed by Yi in 2026, followed by The A List: 15 Stories from Asian and Pacific Diasporas. The documentary features the members of the band, Kim Woo-sung, Park Do-joon, Lee Ha-joon, and Lee Jae-hyeong, appearing as themselves. The production was led by producers Diane Moy Quon, Milan Chakraborty, and James Shin. The finished film has a runtime of 96 minutes.
