Homo Promo

Homo Promo is an upcoming documentary that examines the history of mainstream queer cinema. The film consists of a collection of rare 35mm trailers for LGBT-themed movies produced between 1953 and 1977. These archival materials, which vary in physical condition, were originally part of a private collection and have since been donated to the Outfest/UCLA Legacy Project for LGBT Film Preservation.

The project is directed by Jenni Olson, who previously directed Jodie Promo and Trailer Camp in 1995. Produced by Strand Releasing, the film has a runtime of 56 minutes. The cast features archival appearances by Mae West, Bela Lugosi, Ingrid Thulin, and Edward D. Wood Jr.
