Pretty Hurts

Lauren enters a beauty pageant previously won by her mother in hopes of securing college scholarship funds. As she navigates a competitive and manipulative environment, she remains unaware that her close friend, Rae, is suffering from a rare and dangerous form of meningitis. Once Lauren discovers the severity of the illness, she decides to use her position in the competition to spread awareness about the disease.

This American drama was produced by Lifetime and written by Lydia Genner. It was directed by Brian Herzlinger, following his previous work on Mr. Manhattan and Get Him Back for Christmas in 2024.
