myself, elsewhere

This upcoming Thai film is an essay-style narrative that blends memory and dreams. It centers on an elderly man who is haunted by a mysterious voice while his fading childhood watches over him. As a prolonged sleep obscures the line between reality and imagination, an outside observer records the man's story to explore themes of family and the subtle trauma of growing up.

The film is directed by Arin Bunchan, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Supawit Chalermkul. Bunchan appears in the cast as the voice and self, following their previous work on DEVOURED in 2023 and A person who sleeps and dreams in 2024. The cast includes Ratcha-arpa-ake Tunsiriwanlobp in the role of the old man and Sarayu Sitthiporn as the boy, with Narong Bunchan and Wandee Bunchan also appearing as self. Produced by Thanesuan Chidthonglang, the project involves production companies Astro House Films, Flavour Film, Independent. Cline, and In The Blink of An Eyes. A credited crew of 42 members worked on the production, which blends elements of family drama, horror, and mystery.
