Snow Queen

Gerda and her father run a remote hotel together following the death of her mother during a winter storm. Gerda finds comfort in her relationship with Kai, a young man employed as a bellboy at the hotel. Their lives are disrupted when a mysterious, wealthy woman arrives and subsequently vanishes, taking Kai with her. To rescue him, Gerda travels through various seasons and encounters fantastical beings on her way to the palace of the Snow Queen.

This 2002 American TV movie was directed by David Wu, who later directed Cold Steel in 2011.
