La Dorada

La Dorada is a Spanish film about an elderly woman named Juana who struggles with her financial circumstances. After speaking with her grandson, Raúl, she decides to resolve her money problems by taking matters into her own hands.

The movie was directed by Alfonso Gautier and Mariana Alvénez, who also co-wrote the screenplay. It is the first of two films released by this directing duo in 2026, preceding their other work, Hostia Santísima. Produced by La Cinta Azul, the project was overseen by producers Lucía Bocanegra and Iria Bayerri. The main cast features Juana Fernández in the title role, with Lukas Acuña playing her grandson. Other roles include Niko Ruiz García as a client and Xabi Fernández as Pescadero.
