Jailbreakers

Set in the 1950s, this crime drama follows Angel, a high school cheerleader who enters a volatile relationship with a rebellious biker named Tony. After Tony is imprisoned for robbing jewelry stores, Angel and her family relocate to another city to escape the scandal. The conflict intensifies when Tony escapes from prison and tracks her down, hoping to resume their criminal activities and flee together.

The TV movie was directed by William Friedkin and represents the ninth of 16 films he directed, following Blue Chips and preceding Jade. The film stars Shannen Doherty as Angel and Antonio Sabàto Jr. as Tony, with a supporting cast that includes Adrien Brody as Skinny and Sean Whalen as Tattoo.
