This documentary TV movie focuses on the 1977 meeting in Munich between producer and composer Giorgio Moroder and singer Donna Summer. The film explores how their collaboration led to the creation of several international hits, including the song I Feel Love, and examines the impact these works had on the lives of the artists and the history of music.
The film was directed by Charles-Antoine de Rouvre, following his previous works Meryl Streep: Mystery and Metamorphosis, Mysterious Origins of Insects, Esther Williams: Hollywood's Mermaid, and Jeff Bridges: A Reluctant Star. Produced in France by ARTE GEIE and Zeta Productions, the project features archive footage of Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder. The cast also includes musicologist Thomas Krettenauer and music producers Pete Bellotte and Marc Cerrone.
