Dry Wood is a Greek documentary centered on Grigoris Kapsalis, a 96-year-old clarinet player. As the sole survivor of the generation that defined the musical traditions of Epirus, Kapsalis reflects on his lifelong dedication to his art during a meeting at his home. This personal introspection takes place while the local community begins organizing an annual village celebration.
The film was written and directed by Odysseas Kotsinis, who also provides a voice role. This production follows his 2024 film Undersea Imprisonment. Along with Kotsinis, Marios P. Papageorgiou served as a producer. The cast features Kapsalis appearing as himself, supported by musicians Mihalis Brachopoulos, Ilias Grammatikos, Vasilis Brachopoulos, and Konstantinos Brachopoulos, who are shown during the feast. The documentary has a runtime of 17 minutes and was released on August 6, 2026.
