What's left behind the scenes
- The final scene of the film was shot in the interiors of a Broadway theater where a play by Ira Levin once ran on stage.
- The kissing scene between Bruhl and Clifford initially caused strong rejection from Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve. The actors even wanted to refuse it. Finally, deciding to go through with it, they fortified themselves with alcohol – not only because of the kiss, but also so as not to break character when given directions by the director, cinematographer, or anyone else.
