What's left behind the scenes
- The film is dedicated to Paolo Sorrentino’s friend – the famous Italian rugby player and journalist Giuseppe D’Avanzo, who died during the filming of the movie.
- In an interview with the Italian radio station Radio 2, Paolo Sorrentino noted that at some point during the production stage, he considered naming the film "The Human Apparatus" (L'Apparato Umano). This is the title of a fictional novel written by the film’s main character, played by Toni Servillo.
- The performance given by Talia Concept's character is an obvious allusion to the artist Marina Abramović.
