Ankahee

Ankahee centres on Dr. Shekhar Saxena, a married physician whose settled home life is disrupted by Kaavya Krishna, a famous beauty queen known across India as a former Miss World title holder. Publicly glamorous, she is privately fragile and struggling with depression. Her partner treats her as a showpiece and is unfaithful to her, and Shekhar is the one person who responds to her with real sympathy. His concern draws him into a relationship with her, pulling him away from his wife Nandita and the rest of his family, and it becomes clear that Kaavya is not a passive figure in what follows. The film is a Hindi drama of roughly two and a half hours.

Vikram Bhatt directed and wrote the screenplay, placing Ankahee as the earliest of the five titles listed in his directing career, ahead of Haunted (2011), Hacked (2020), Bloody Ishq (2024) and Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past (2026). Aftab Shivdasani plays the doctor, with Esha Deol as Kaavya, Ameesha Patel as his wife Nandita, and Hrishitaa Bhatt as Sheena Saxena. Amin Hajee and Ashwini Kalsekar appear as Dr. Kuna Mehta and Shilpa Mehta.

On IMDb the film holds a rating of 4.6 out of 10 from 455 votes, a low average based on a modest number of responses rather than a broad popular verdict.
