After relocating from Boston to Dallas, a young teacher named Kathleen is sexually assaulted at gunpoint by a man named Larry. When legal channels offer little hope for justice, her anger leads her to transform herself. She joins a weapons club to master the use of a firearm, eventually becoming a hunter determined to track down her attacker and seek revenge.
