Condorman

Condorman follows Woody, a comic book artist and writer who agrees to run a simple courier errand for his friend Harry, an employee of the CIA. After Woody manages to fight off hostile agents, he gains the attention of Natalia, a woman who wants his help in defecting. Woody seizes the opportunity to ask the agency for the resources to bring his own comic book creation, Condorman, to life, and he soon finds himself caught up in a real espionage operation while being pursued by the villainous Krokov and his associate Morovich.

The film was directed by Charles Jarrott, its release following The Last Flight of Noah's Ark and preceding The Amateur in his filmography. Marc Stirdivant wrote the screenplay, and Michael Crawford plays Woody, with Oliver Reed as Krokov, Barbara Carrera as Natalia, James Hampton as Harry Oslo, Jean-Pierre Kalfon as Morovich and Dana Elcar as Russ Devlin. It is a Walt Disney Productions release running ninety minutes.

Condorman was not well received on release, and its reputation has not improved much since. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.7 from roughly 5,900 votes, while TMDB shows 5.5 from about 145 votes. A critics' rating of 4.2 from fifteen reviews is lower still, placing professional opinion below the mixed audience scores.
