This war drama centers on the conflict in Nicaragua between the Sandinista government and the Contra rebels, who receive financial and technical support from the United States. The story follows Eddie Guerrero, an American soldier sent on a covert mission to the jungle to help special forces train the Contra insurgents. As the mission progresses, Guerrero begins to doubt the ethics of his assignment and considers how his involvement affects the future of the country.

The cast features Robert Beltran in the lead role of Eddie Guerrero, alongside Annette Charles, Américo González, Michael Goodwin, Gavin MacFadyen, and Julio Medina.
