Ajisawa is a former special forces officer who walked away from his paramilitary unit to raise Yoriko, a girl he adopted after she became the only survivor of a massacre he caused. Years later, while working as a claims adjuster, Ajisawa returns to the site of that violence. He is arrested on suspicion of being involved in the past tragedy, but legal troubles are secondary to the danger he faces from his former organization, which is now hunting him.
