What's left behind the scenes
- The scene of a woman falling off a cliff was filmed using a real woman, a mannequin, and a plastic doll. While a wide shot of the falling body uses a mannequin, a medium shot uses a real actress (she moves along specially constructed rails), and a close-up of the impact against the rocks uses a plastic doll.
- In the early 2000s, Quentin Tarantino announced that he was planning to remake this film with Bridget Fonda in the lead role. The project did not come to fruition, but Tarantino used the musical theme from "Seven Notes in Darkness" in several scenes from "Kill Bill".
