The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Five years after the events of the first film, the residents of Bricksburg are confronted by a new threat from space: invaders made of LEGO DUPLO, who tear down what the citizens build faster than they can replace it. When Lucy and other characters are taken, Emmet must set out to rescue them. The fight against the attackers carries Emmet, Lucy, Batman and their friends into distant, unexplored worlds, including an unusual galaxy where everything unfolds as a musical, testing their courage, their creativity and their skills as Master Builders.

The film is directed by Mike Mitchell, working from a screenplay by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. It is the eighth feature Mitchell directed in the chronological sequence that runs from Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo in 1999 through Trolls in 2016 to Kung Fu Panda 4 in 2024. Chris Pratt voices Emmet, alongside Elizabeth Banks as Lucy, Will Arnett as Batman, Tiffany Haddish as Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi, Stephanie Beatriz as General Mayhem and Alison Brie as Unikitty.

Produced across Australia, Denmark, Canada and the United States by Animal Logic, Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Rideback and Vertigo Entertainment, the film cost about 99 million USD and returned roughly 200 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.5/10 from 85,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.6/10 from 2,519 votes. A critics' rating of 7/10 from 300 reviews places it somewhat above those audience scores.
