An extraterrestrial hero named Kronos travels from another galaxy to Earth to stop the plans of a mad scientist called Dr. Gulik. To protect humanity and the wider universe from destruction or domination, the visitor adopts the identity of a journalist named Paul. While using supernatural powers such as flight and invulnerability to combat the villain, he falls in love with the daughter of a prominent scientist.
This Spanish production was directed by Juan Piquer Simón, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Sebastian Moi. Released in 1979, it is the second film in a chronological sequence of the director's work, following Journey to the Centre of the Earth and preceding Pieces and The Rift. The cast features José Luis Ayestarán as the titular character, Cameron Mitchell as the antagonist, and Antonio Cantafora as Paul.
The film blends elements of science fiction, fantasy, adventure, and comedy. It has received generally poor reception from viewers, holding a rating of 3.1/10 on IMDb based on 1,200 votes and a rating of 3.9/10 on TMDB from 32 votes.
