Whirlpool

Tulia is an aspiring model who accepts an invitation to spend a weekend at a country home owned by a photographer and his aunt. While the trip is presented as a quiet retreat and an opportunity for professional work, the young woman finds herself drawn into a strange and erotic relationship between the two hosts. As she becomes part of their inner circle, a police investigation unfolds regarding the disappearance of another model who had previously encountered the pair.

Directed by José Ramón Larraz, this production was the first of two films he directed before Magic Powder. The screenplay was written by Larraz and Sam Lomberg. The movie features Vivien Neves as Tulia, Karl Lanchbury as Theo, and Pia Andersson as Sara, with additional roles played by Sibyla Grey, Johanna Hegger, and Andrew Grant. A joint effort between the United Kingdom and Denmark, it was produced by Athena Film A/S.
