What's left behind the scenes
- After hearing about the appearance of a serial killer in the area, screenwriter Aleki Blyth traveled to the town of Ipswich in the winter of 2006 and interviewed local residents, sex workers, and journalists covering the crimes and subsequent trial. Expressions and lines from these people were used in the film.
