What's left behind the scenes

  • Bundy was sentenced to death for 4 murders. Ted Bundy committed his murders between 1974 and 1978 and was executed in the electric chair in 1989.
  • The role in the film was offered to Cameron Bright, but neither he nor, as it turned out, his mother wanted to be associated with a serial killer.
  • In the party scene where Ted and his girlfriend Liz are present, a girl approaches Liz, introduces herself as Beverly, and says she worked with Ted at a crisis center. This is a clear reference to Ann Rule (1931-2015), a writer who actually worked with Ted Bundy (1946-1989) at a crisis center in Seattle in the early 1970s. Furthermore, it is known that Rule actually met and chatted with Bundy's girlfriend at a Christmas party once. She later wrote a book about Bundy and the murders he committed.
  • Ted Bundy is arrested when he breaks into someone else's car after escaping from Aspen. In reality, he was arrested when he was already driving the stolen car. Moreover, all three times he was arrested, it happened while he was driving a vehicle. And he was initially detained because he was a terrible driver.
