Short description
Scoob! tells the story of how Scooby-Doo and Shaggy Rogers first met and became friends, and how they joined young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the mystery-solving team Mystery Inc. After years of solved cases, the gang faces its biggest challenge: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus on the world. As they try to stop this global disaster, they learn that Scooby has a secret legacy and a destiny larger than anyone expected.
The film is an animated family comedy and mystery directed by Tony Cervone. It is the eleventh film he directed and follows a run of animated features including Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale in 2007 and several Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry titles, among them Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery in 2015. The screenplay is by Adam Sztykiel, Matt Lieberman and Derek Elliott, and the producers are Allison Abbate and Pam Coats. The voice cast includes Will Forte as Shaggy, Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon, Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Zac Efron as Fred and Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, with 39 credited cast members and 58 credited crew.
Produced in Canada and the United States by Atlas Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures, Reel FX Creative Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures Animation, Scoob! had a budget of 90 million USD and a worldwide box office of 29 million USD. On IMDb it holds 5.6/10 from 33,000 votes, while on TMDB it has 7/10 from 1,847 votes.
