Salsa

Rico is a Puerto Rican mechanic who spends his nights at the La Luna nightclub, where he aspires to win the title of Salsa King in an upcoming competition. His ambitions are complicated by a series of romantic entanglements. While Rico navigates an unstable relationship with Vicki and attracts the attention of the current salsa queen, Luna, he encourages his close friend Ken to pursue his sister, Margarita. This arrangement leads to further jealousy as Ken and Margarita develop genuine feelings for one another.

Directed by Boaz Davidson, this music and romance film was released in 1988. It follows four previous films in the director's career, including Lemon Popsicle and The Last American Virgin.
