What's left behind the scenes
- Street scenes near the courthouse were filmed near Buffalo City Hall, New York, USA.
- Marshall arrives at a genuine railway station in Buffalo, New York. In reality, the building has long been in disrepair, so the glazed windows shown in the film are the product of digital technology.
- In the final scene of the theatrical release, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, the parents of Trayvon Martin, appear on screen. Marshall died long before Martin was born.
