A Shaun the Sheep Movie: Farmageddon

A spaceship crashes near Mossy Bottom Farm, and Shaun the Sheep discovers an alien visitor named Lu-La. She has extraordinary abilities, and the flock quickly takes to her. When a government agency begins hunting for the stranded visitor, Shaun and his friends set out to protect her and help her return home.

The film is directed by Will Becher and Richard Phelan and written by Mark Burton and Jon Brown, with Paul Kewley producing for Aardman, the studio behind Shaun's previous screen outings. Justin Fletcher voices Shaun and Timmy, John Sparkes voices the Farmer and Bitzer, and Amalia Vitale voices Lu-La. Kate Harbour, David Holt and Andy Nyman round out the voice cast.

Released in 2019, the film belongs to the stop-motion tradition Aardman is known for, trading the rural routines of the series for a science-fiction premise while keeping its largely wordless comedy. It grossed about 43 million dollars worldwide, a solid result for an animated feature aimed at families. On IMDb it holds 6.8 from roughly 17,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.9 from just over 600 votes. Critics gave it 7.5 from 82 reviews, a warmer reception than either audience score, though all three sit in a similar, generally favorable range.
