The Angry Birds Movie 2

The Angry Birds Movie 2 continues the feud between the flightless birds of Bird Island and the green pigs of Piggy Island, whose long conflict has settled into an uneasy stalemate. Their rivalry is interrupted by a new threat from a frozen island, where Zeta and her followers, tired of the perpetual cold, set their sights on the warmer islands the birds and pigs call home. Red, Chuck, Bomb and Leonard are forced to set aside their differences and assemble an unlikely team, which includes Chuck's sister Silver and Leonard's associates Courtney and Garry, to stop the intrusion.

The film is directed by Thurop Van Orman, working from a screenplay by Peter Ackerman, Eyal Podell and Jonathon E. Stewart, and produced by John Cohen. Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad and Danny McBride return as Red, Chuck and Bomb, with Leslie Jones voicing Zeta, Bill Hader as Leonard and Rachel Bloom as Silver. A total of 77 cast members and 80 crew members are credited, and the production was mounted on a budget of 65 million dollars.

Released in August 2019, the sequel is a co-production between the United States and Finland, with Columbia Pictures, Sony Pictures Animation and Rovio Entertainment among the companies behind it. It earned 138 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.4 out of 10 from 42,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.1 out of 10 from 1,959 votes. A critics' rating of 5.7 out of 10 from 109 reviews places it below the audience scores.
