The Death of Superman

In this animated superhero film, a powerful creature called Doomsday crashes to Earth and goes on a rampage, drawing the attention of the Justice League. The team, including Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash, confronts the monster, but it becomes clear that only Superman can truly match its strength. At the same time, Clark Kent is preparing to tell Lois Lane the truth about who he is, a decision that runs alongside the escalating battle.

The film is directed by Sam Liu and Jake Castorena, working from a screenplay by Peter Tomasi, with Liu also producing alongside Amy McKenna. It follows Batman: Gotham by Gaslight in Liu's directing credits and precedes Reign of the Supermen. Jerry O'Connell voices Clark Kent and Superman, Rebecca Romijn voices Lois Lane, Rainn Wilson voices Lex Luthor, and the cast also includes Rosario Dawson, Nathan Fillion and Christopher Gorham. It runs 81 minutes and is part of the DC animated film line.

Reception has been positive on both audience platforms: on IMDb it holds a rating of 7.3 from roughly 22,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.4 from a smaller pool of around 648 votes.
