What's left behind the scenes
- The film was largely shot by Gören, strictly following Güney's instructions, as the latter was in prison at the time on a murder charge. Soon after, Güney escaped, watched the film and was dissatisfied with the work, after which he reworked and supplemented the picture while in France, where he had been granted political asylum.
