KONOSUBA – God's blessing on this wonderful world! Legend of Crimson

Kazuma Satou and his companions are struggling after a failed quest leaves them without a reward. Their fortunes take a turn when Yunyun arrives with alarming news from her home village. What first seems to be a hoax turns into a real threat: one of the Demon King's generals has come to the Crimson Demon Clan's village in search of a legendary weapon known as the Mage Killer. The group travels to the home of Megumin and Yunyun to stop the attack.

The film is directed by Takaomi Kanasaki, working from a screenplay by Makoto Uezu, and follows his 2013 film Lupin the Third: Princess of the Breeze. It is based on the light novel and anime series about a reincarnated shut-in and his eccentric party. The voice cast includes Jun Fukushima as Kazuma, Rie Takahashi as Megumin, Sora Amamiya as Aqua, Ai Kayano as Darkness, Yui Horie as Wiz and Aki Toyosaki as Yunyun. More than 30 cast members and over 100 crew members are credited.

Released in Japan in August 2019, the film runs 90 minutes and is an adventure comedy fantasy. It earned around 5 million dollars worldwide, a modest figure consistent with a theatrical outing for a niche anime property. On IMDb it holds 7.8/10 from about 7,000 votes, and on TMDB it sits at 8/10 from roughly 640 votes, indicating a small but strongly appreciative audience.
